Artist's statement
Being a children's book illustrator for many years, I perceive this world as a beautiful fairytale. I see it in bold, bright colours and truly believe that goodness always wins over evil.
I know this world is far from being perfect, and there are so many thing we need to do to make it a better place to live. However, the masses of negative information we receive everyday from television, newspapers and the Internet, often makes us forget about the good things in our lives. If we could turn off our TVs and computers, stop for a moment in our day-to-day rush, and look around, we would see how beautiful this world is. This fabulous beauty is usually found in the simplest, most ordinary things like a flower, old building or snow falling outside a window...
With my artwork, I am trying to share my bright fairytale world with others. I hope it creates a positive attitude, which helps make our lives better.
